Our annual Farmer's Appreciation Day took place at the Rice County Fairgrounds for the first time on Saturday morning and a wonderful time was had by all those who attended! A free breakfast kicked things off from 8-10AM, and everyone raved about the eggs, sausage, bacon and cheesy potatoes that really filled attendees up the right way! Exhibits and family friendly activities took place all morning.

The event also featured speakers on various agriculture-related topics. Mark Dorenkamp of the Brownfield News Network, Jill Sackett Eberhart of the USDA Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program and Travis Hirman of the Rice Soil and Water Conservation District all shared their knowledge and research.

Special guests included Rice County Dairy Princess Emily Trcka, as well as Rice County Dairy Maids Emma Kuball and Jacy Saemrow.
