Father of Waseca Teen Convicted of Bomb Plot Starts GoFundMe to Move Family
David LaDue says on his GoFundMe page that he wants to move his family out of Waseca since his son's conviction in a plot to bomb his high school two years ago.
John LaDue was convicted last year of plotting a massacre at the Waseca High School in 2014. A judge has granted his request for a felony conviction instead of spending 10 years on probation.
According to a Star Tribune report, he's been living at his parents house under a bunch of probation conditions. They include daily check-ins with a probation officer, weekly appointments with a mental health therapist, monthly appointments with a psychiatrist, monitored internet access, orders to stay away from certain friends, and community service work.
David LaDue is asking for $262,500 to move the family away from Waseca, saying that the relocation is what the community wants. As of this posting, $10 has been donated.
