Former Gopher Hangs Up Cleats For Last Time
When one of us makes it to the next level, it seems as if the entire state of Minnesota is behind them. This was true for Eric Decker, who hung up his cleats for the last time and retired.

Decker grew up in Cold Springs, Minnesota and made a name for himself as a three-sport athlete excelling in football, basketball and baseball at Roccori High School, and continued his two-sport excellence at the Univerity of Minnesota playing football and baseball.
Decker was rated among the best in the nation at the wide receiver position, finishing his career with 3,119 yards and 24 touchdowns in just 45 games. He was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos where he had an excellent career playing with Peyton Manning, finishing with 5,816 yards and 53 touchdowns in 111 games with the Broncos, Jets and Titans.
Decker was also drafted by the 27th round in the 2009 draft by the Minnesota Twins, proving his athleticism.
It is one heck of a career for Decker, who will join the elite class of professional athletes from the state fo Minnesota. Especially with his incredible time with the University of Minnesota.
