I remember strolling into Tempo at the Faribo Plaza about 41 years ago and flipping through the record bins looking for Frampton Comes Alive! OK, for the younger crowd let me translate some of the terms in that opening sentence: Tempo = Walmart; Faribo Plaza was my childhood version of a mall, it's now called Faribo Town Square; and records are vinyl hard copies of mp3s and a record bin was an easily accessible display for records.

I was looking for this particular double album because his music was all over the radio and by this point in my young teen life, music had become a very integral part of my being, or so I thought. According to This Day in Music.com, by this day, April 10, 1976, it was sitting on top of the charts at No. 1 and had become one of the biggest selling live albums of all time and the best-selling album of 1976. This live effort spawned several huge hits for Frampton including "Show Me the Way," "Baby, I Love Your Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do." Trying to capitalize on his success, he quickly followed this album up with another chart-topping album coming in at No. 2 with the 1977's I'm In You with the hit single by the same name.

Let's take a little trip back in time and relive the hits of Frampton Comes Alive!:
