Tyler Francis was very efficient on the hill Tuesday night for the Faribault Lakers in a 2-0 win over the Webster Sox at Bell Field.

Francis threw 82 pitches in the nine-inning game, 65 of those were strikes. He struck out five and didn't walk anyone while allowing four hits.

Both of Faribault's runs came on sacrifice flies.

Mitch Johnson led the third inning off with a double and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Joe Grote and Johnson would have a sacrifice fly later, plating Porter Sartor.

The Lakers have had trouble scoring in June.

After a 10-0 win over Minnesota Lake to start the month, Faribault has scored just 12 runs in the past seven games and is 2-5 during that stretch. Faribault is now 7-5 in DRS League play and has a very busy week.

Tonight they play the defending Class B state champion Dundas Dukes in Dundas at 7:30PM. Thursday the Lakers host the Lonsdale Aces at 7:30PM and Sunday at 2PM the Prior Lake Mudcats come to Bell Field. Next Tuesday Faribault entertains Union Hill at 7:30PM.
