Future Minnesota State Fair Butter Heads

Twelve county dairy princesses have been named finalists, and one of those will be the 63rd Princess Kay of the Milky Way. More than 50 county dairy princess were at the competition and training last weekend in St Cloud. The coronation will be at the Minnesota State Fair Band Shell the evening before the Minnesota State Fair begins. The 12 finalists will take their turns sitting in the cooler each day of the Minnesota State Fair having their likenesses sculpted out of blocks of butter.

The 12 finalists are Kalley Berg, Olmsted County; Haley Hinrichs, Goodhue County; Makaila Klejeski, Dodge County; Morgan Krause, Wright County; Annette Kyllo, Olmsted County; Kayla Leiding, Fillmore County; Sabrina Portner, Brown County; Kiersten Sabolic, Douglas County; Kelly Schouviller, Becker County; Meghan Skiba, Isanti County; Emily Stocker, Scott County; and Stephanie Sukalski, Mower County. I always enjoy going to the Princess Kay of the Milky Way Coronation, especially when there are a number of dairy princesses from our area.
