Some Faribault students have been taking care of a garden on the old Garfield Elementary School site. Dee Musselman has been overseeing the project and assisting the students but says they've been great workers and seem to really enjoy the upkeep of the garden.

A portion of the old school is at the back of the garden and all sorts of plants have been placed there.

Four of the students will be on AM Minnesota at 9:30AM today.

I always enjoy hosting the program, but I have to admit for some reason I do have an extra special place in my heart for shows that feature young people. After all, these kids are our future and I know they will be taking care of me when I get old, Lord willing.

I am not the best plant identifier so we will find out what is in the garden from the students.

You can see by looking at the picture I took about 9AM today that the garden is weed free and looking awesome.
