Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota has a cheesy event coming up and you're invited!

They will host a Big Cheese Society event at the Faribault Cheese Caves at 318 Central Ave. on Thursday, February 16, from 5:30-6:30PM. The Big Cheese Society meetings are a great chance for interested individuals and couples to learn more about the organization and also see the impact that being involved can have. Attendees will receive a complimentary glass of wine, appetizers and a fun evening learning more about Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota. Speaking at this event will be "Big" Dustin Simpson and his "Little" Brady about how being involved in Big Brother Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota has had an impact on them.

According to www.bbbsofsouthernmn.org, “Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (‘Bigs’) and children (‘Littles’), ages 4 through 14, in communities across the country. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.” The organization pairs children with same gender adults and right now, they are hoping to get more men involved.

All are welcome to attend this event and learn about the need for more “Bigs” in our community. For more information about the Big Cheese Society event, or Big Brothers Big Sisters, visit www.bbbsofsouthernmn.org.
