Goodhue defeats Mankato Loyola for the 3rd Place Class A Championship

Saturday at the Ganglehoff  Center at Concordia University in St. Paul, the Goodhue Wildcats concluded their season with a third place win over Mankato Loyola 74-62. Goodhue led most of the way. Mikayla Miller led with 30pts, followed by Shelby Hinsch with 24. Mikayla Miller hit a 3 with time expiring from at least the half court mark to close the first half. The Wildcats also had scoring efforts from Megan Ryan(8), Michelle Hadler(5), Kali Ryan(4) and Sydney Lodermeirer(3). Goodhue shot 21-51 from the two, 9-22 from the 3 and 23-30 from the free throw line.

Our News Record Zumbro Shopper of Zumbrota players of the game were Mikayla Miller, Kali Ryan, Meredith Watson and Shelby Hinsch.

Mankato Loyola was led by 19 from Lindsey Theuinick and 12 from Megan Schroeder.

Goodhue concludes the season at 27-6 and Mankato Loyola at 28-4.

There will be a welcome home for the Wildcats at the Goodhue HS 3pm today.
