Every June, Faribault celebrates it’s heritage with a huge celebration including a carnival, historic tours, a car show, music and a parade. For much of the week, the weather is looking perfect to get out and enjoy the fun!

Faribault Heritage Days is one of the highlights of summer, and the annual local festival will soon be celebrated again. Faribault Heritage Days got started yesterday, June 14 and goes through Sunday, June 18 with a plethora of offerings to keep the whole family entertained.

Today, the carnival opens with rides for kids of all ages.There is also a model airplane flying event, the mayor’s reception, and the concert in the park featuring the Boys of America.

A community lunch is included in Friday’s events, along with craft show and citywide garage sales. Pop Rocks plays in the beer garden Friday night, and there is a car show on Central Ave from 6-9PM.

Saturday’s highlights include a soapbox race, Touch of Magic show, grand parade, and music in the beer gardens by the Magic Sunshine Band. And throughout the entire week, make sure to listen to KDHL for clues for the medallion hunt.
