Faribault Fire Chief Dusty Dienst and Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn will be in the KDHL studio to discuss being safe this holiday season.

More deadly residential fires occur this time of year and this year Minnesota fire deaths are up considerably from a year ago.

The most travelers ever, according to AAA of Minnesota, are supposed to hit the roads this holiday season.

And 90 percent of those travelers will go in a vehicle.

If not, go to our website and click on the AM Minnesota tab and then select the program you want to watch on our YouTube channel.

Dunn and Dienst and all of us at KDHL and Power 96 radio wish you a very safe holiday.

Slow down when driving. Don't text and drive and stay off your cell phone while driving.

Dienst recommends turning your Christmas lights off when you go to bed at night.

In addition to being the fire chief, he has an electrical background.
