A interesting Saturday is on tap weather wise. A heat advisory has been issued for Wright, Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey, Washington, Mcleod, Sibley, Carver, Scott, Dakota, Brown, Nicollet, Le Sueur, Rice, Watonwan, Blue Earth and Waseca counties, including the cities of Monticello, Minneapolis, Blaine, St. Paul, Stillwater, Hutchinson, Gaylord, Chaska, Shakopee, Hastings, New Ulm, St. Peter, Le Sueur, Faribault, St James, Mankato and Waseca. The heat advisory goes from 1-6PM.

There is also a good probability of severe weather moving through the area last this afternoon and this evening as a cold front approaches the are and slams into the hot, moist air. Large hail, damaging winds and even a few tornadoes are possible.

Don't cancel outdoor plans. Just be smart. Stay cool, stay hydrated, don't over do it and keep tuned for the latest.

As we have seen lately severe weather can develop rapidly without much warning. So it's best to have a plan in mind, and be prepared. Take us with you where you go and listen online or via the RadioPup app on your favorite mobile device.
