Last week I traveled to Louisville, Kentucky for the Annual FFA Convention along with about 66,000 other people! There were blue jackets as far as the eye could see, and not wanting to miss out on the fun, Farm Director Jerry Groskreutz and I decided to be part of it!

Ok, we didn't really join the FFA, but while there interviewing local FFA students for our KDHL listeners, we did borrow a couple jackets to take a photo! I was never a member of the FFA, my high school doesn't have a chapter, and to be honest I wasn't very familiar with the organization until last year. But as I learn more, and meet students, chapter advisers and FFA staff, it becomes apparent that this is an impressive organization that is helping to mold future leaders and opening up these students to a a broad spectrum of opportunities!

We asked a couple local FFA members to take our photo, and they decided to leave us the gift of a 'selfie' as well! haha
