Kenyon-Wanamingo Public Schools will induct their second Hall of Fame Class on Saturday night at the high school auditorium.

Inductees will be introduced at halftime of the homecoming football game Friday night against United South Central at what I affectionately call The Moat.

Inductees and teams will be representing Kenyon High School, Wanamingo High School and Kenyon-Wanamingo High School.

The Hall of Fame Banquet starts with a social hour starting at 5PM, catered dinner at 6PM and program from 7-8:30PM in the high school auditorium.

A plaque will be presented to each Hall of Fame inductee to keep and their names will be found on a Hall of Fame plaque in the high school.

Members of the teams being honored at the banquet will receive certificates and their team name will appear on the Hall of Fame plaque in the high school.

2016 Kenyon-Wanamingo High School Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees include:

  • Steve Alger: Kenyon High School and Kenyon-Wanamingo high school coach 1971-2001
  • Graydon Stromme: Kenyon High School, 1942
  • Steve Strandemo: Kenyon High School, 1968
  • David Malchow: Wanamingo High School, 1980
  • Sandy Bird: Wanamingo High School, 1981
  • Joe Healy: Kenyon High School, 1985
  • Guye Senjem: Kenyon-Wanamingo High School, 1993
  • Marit Sviggum: Kenyon-Wanamingo High School, 2002
  • Larry VanDewalker: Booster/Supporter
