Get up close and personal with with big trucks and emergency vehicles tonight in Faribault.

Remember as a kid how much you liked big trucks, tractors and construction vehicles or watching the police or firetrucks fly by with their sirens screaming? Remember how much you wished you could climb inside and check them out? Well, when I was a kid I was lucky enough to have a dad who worked for the Rice County Highway Department and sometimes he would bring me down to the shop and let me play in the road graders or the dump trucks. Even better, a couple of times I got to go for a ride in these same vehicles.

If you have kids in your life that get excited when they see a firetruck roar by or the sound of a big rig, then make sure you bring them down to this evening's Touch A Truck event at the Faribault Lutheran School. They'll have a blast climbing in and on the vehicles on display. Last year there was a tanker truck, a tow truck, a garbage truck, a couple of tractors, a boom truck, a dump truck, trailer and skid loader combo, an SUV from the Faribault Police Department and a Rice County Sheriff Department’s truck and boat. What vehicles will show this year? You'll have to go there and find out. Your kids will thank you.

Your whole family will have a fun night at this year's Touch A Truck from 5:30-7:30PM in the east lot of Faribault Lutheran School.
