While there weren't many smiles on the Vikings sidelines after Sunday's loss to the Saints, the cameras captured one classy move from quarterback Kirk Cousins.

It's sometimes tough for football us fans to wrap our heads around how the players who wanted to defeat each other on the field can walk around after the game as friends, right? Of course, what we forget is that they're professional athletes who are getting paid to play for our team. And they know that it could be THEM playing for the opposing team down the road too.

Which is kind of what happened to Teddy Bridgewater, once he left Minnesota earlier this spring, his time with the Purple and Gold cut short by that horrific knee injury he suffered back in 2016.

Well, by all accounts, Teddy was-- and no doubt still is-- one of the best guys in the NFL. Vikings' coach Mike Zimmer said as much when he tearfully announced Teddy's injury that fateful August day.

So it was cool to see current Vikings quarterback, Kirk Cousins, seek out Teddy-- who these days is a back-up to Saints quarterback, Drew Brees-- after yesterday's game to offer some words of encouragement.

KARE-11 sports reporter Ryan Shaver posted on his Twitter feed that Cousins told Teddy after the game yesterday, "everyone here speaks really highly of you...you left a good mark on the organization," he noted.

Which is no doubt very true-- and pretty cool of Cousins to say, especially after his team had just lost the game. Despite how hard they compete on the field, I'm always heartened by displays of sportsmanship and civility like this, and this was a classy move by two stand-up guys. Check out the video below...
