Summer and music festivals go hand in hand, and fairly new, but fun and growing festival in Southern Minnesota is the Prior Lake Rotary's Lakefront Music Festival!The lineup for the Lakefront Music Festival this year is sure to have something for everyone, with one night featuring country artists, and the next being devoted to rock music. On Friday, July 17th the doors open at 5PM and Minnesota musician Chris Hawkey gets the party started at 6PM. At 7:40PM song along with Rodney Atkins as he plays "Farmer's Daughter," and "Take a Back Road" along with his other hits. Headlining on Friday night is Grammy award winning Dwight Yoakam.

Saturday, July 18 brings another round of great music with the gates opening at 3:30PM. LA Guns takes the stage first at 4:45PM, followed by Lita Ford "Dancin' on the Edge" at 6:15PM. Night Ranger proves "(You Can Still) Rock in America" at 8PM and Daughtry headlines at 10PM.

Bring a camp chair or blanket and settle in to see two great nights of music. In 2012, the music fest was expanded to include two nights of music, and last year, more than 20,000 people were in attendance. Proceeds from the Lakefront Music Fest benefit the Prior Lake Rotary Club and their mission, and additionally benefit YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, and Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools: Laker Athletic Booster Club and Patrons of the Arts & Activities.
