Wednesday, April 20, members of U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar's staff will be coming to Austin. The public is invited to stop by the Mower County Senior Center at 400 Third Ave. N.E. at noon. This will be an opportunity to learn of resources and services available to Minnesota seniors. There will also be listening sessions where the public may voice their opinions and concerns.

As part of Gov. Mark Dayton's Water Action Week events, the governor will travel to Austin on Thursday, April 21, to the water treatment plant that is in need of replacement. Dayton is due to arrive at 10:45AM. The governor and members of his cabinet will be visiting school classrooms, research institutions and other relevant locations this week to encourage Minnesotans to learn more about keeping Minnesota waters clean. Late on Thursday the governor will stop at a Mower County farm where the farmer has installed buffers on his property.
