If you own a bike, this Sunday's weather is going to be perfect for a nice leisurely ride, which is great because it's also the same day as the ninth annual "Just for the Hope Of It" Signature Bar and Grill Run "'Cuz We Can!" Everyone will be meeting at the Signature Bar & Grill in downtown Faribault starting at 9AM where they'll be serving up a hot breakfast buffet until 10:30AM. Registration also starts at 9AM, followed by a leisurely ride that leaves at 11AM. For a tax-deductible donation of $40 per person you get the ride, t-shirt, prizes and meals. After the ride, a delicious hog roast meal will be served from 5-6PM. If you don’t ride, you’re more than welcome to join in for the hog roast meal for only $20, t-shirts are extra.

This fun event is for the benefit of the Hope Center in Faribault, which serves victims of domestic and sexual violence. According to their website, “the mission of HOPE Center is to create zero tolerance for sexual and domestic violence through Healing, Outreach, Prevention and Education. Through innovative programming, we offer direct support to victims of violence in Rice County, collaborative support to other organizations that serve victims, and educational support to the entire community.”

Get involved in a fun ride for a great cause by calling (507) 333-1657. And make sure you're listening tomorrow morning after the 8:30AM news on the Power 96 Morning Show. Bryan Schuenke, owner of the Signature Bar and Grill, will be in to tell us more about the ninth annual Just For The Hope Of It Run.
