Back in the 1940s, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game decided to relocate a group of beavers due to an overpopulation problem in the area. They needed a safe, easy way to get them into an area that they could survive in. They came upon the interesting idea of rounding them up, placing them in travel boxes, loading them onto a plane and dropping them in via parachute.

It was decided that they would be dropped into the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. They also decided to film this momentous occasion for all posterity. Unfortunately the film was mislabeled and stored in the wrong file and thought to be lost forever. Fortunately it was located by Fish and Game historian Sharon Clark. It was digitized and released to the public by the Idaho Historical Society and the Department of Fish and Game's YouTube channel. The beaver drop starts about eight and a half minutes into the video. It was also reported that all the furry rodents survived the drop.

By the way, be careful when Google searching this topic at work because of the double entendre.
