Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Investigation was called Saturday to investigate a deadly police-involved shooting in Minneapolis.

A statement issued by Minneapolis Police indicate the shooting occurred after a 911 call was received around 5:30 pm about a man walking around shooting a handgun into the air and ground. The anonymous caller was able to provide a very detailed description of the man and the report of the gunfire was reported by a second 911 caller as officers were being dispatched.

When they arrived at the scene, they located the suspected gunman and he fled on foot. The chase ended in shots being fired, and the armed man was pronounced dead at the scene.
