The Miesville Mudhens are one win away from a three peat.  Their opponent will be the team they defeated 3-2 Saturday in the winner bracket final in Jordan, the Chanhassen Red Birds.  Former Triton Cobra star Logan Spitzack took the tough loss in that game.  Spitzack went the first 7.2 innings, allowing 6 hits, 3 earned runs, struck out 4 and walked 1 batter.  The Red Birds outhit Miesville 9-6 but it's the runs that cross the plate that determine the victor.

Miesville winning pitcher was Steve Maher and Chris Olean got the save.  Jacob  Dickmeyer started the game for the Mudhens gong the first 6.2 innings with 7 hits allowed, 2 earned runs, 6 strikeouts and 4 walks, one intentional.  Maher threw the next 1.1 innings with 1 hit, 2 walks, 1 intentional.  Olean got the final inning and gave up a hit but slammed the game shut and Miesville was in the driver's seat for a third straight title.

Chanhassen then waited Sunday to see who would come out of the loser's bracket to face them for the right to play Miesville Monday for the Class B title.  The Red Birds have to beat Miesville twice to be crowned champions.  The Moorhead Brewers beat Sauk Rapids 4-2 and  Dundas 2-1 on Friday night, then Northfield 5-4 on Sunday evening before their encounter with Chanhassen.

Chanhassen defeated Moorhead 7-2 in New Prague while collecting 14 hits to the Brewers 6.  Each team had 1 error.  Five Red Birds had two hits each.  Grant Fisher, Riley Johnson each had two RBI, Justin Anderson, Shawn Riesgraf each 1 RBI.  Matthew Smith tallied a pair of hits and Zach Hoffman had a hit and RBI.  Spitzack pinch ran and scored a run in the game.

First pitch is scheduled for Noon Monday in Shakopee and again Chanhassen has to win two games and Miesville one.
