Yesterday I went to see the latest adventures of, super villian turned secret agent, Gru and his Minions in Despicable Me 3. My grown children and my grandchildren joined my wife and I at an early screening of the movie. Despite this being the third installment in this series, with the Minions getting their own franchise with the prequel Minions, everyone thought that this movie was just as good as the other two with plenty of action, adventure and comedy that easily held the attention of both young and old alike. My youngest granddaughter spent the movie sitting on my lap and never got antsy once, which is a pretty good indicator about the movie's attention-holding ability.

After Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) and his wife, Lucy, fail to capture supervillain Balthazar Bratt, they are both fired from the Anti-Villain League. They return home to find out that Gru has a brother named Dru. The wealthy Dru has invited Gru and his family to visit him at his home for a family reunion of sorts. Dru's real intention is to convince Gru to teach him how to be a bad guy, and that's where the real fun begins. With a run time of 90 minutes, this is a great movie to take the kids to see and you'll enjoy it too.
