Mike’s Top Five Def Leppard Singles
Well tonight's the night Def Leppard returns to the Twin Cities for a show at the Xcel Energy Center along with fellow classic rockers REO Speedwagon and Tesla. In celebration of this night of rock at the Xcel Energy Center, Power 96 will be playing blocks of rock from each of the artists at the top of every hour starting at 9AM until Zach Martin takes over with Ultimate Classic Rock at 7PM. The past couple of days I've been running down my top five favorite hits by REO and Tesla and so today I'll wrap things up with my five favorite singles from Def Leppard, which is going to be interesting because they have so many great tunes to choose from it'll be hard to narrow down the field to just the top five. Without further ado, here are my top five choices.
- 1
Rock Brigade
From their debut album, On Through the Night, this was the first single I ever heard from Def Leppard. It didn't chart but it's still one of my favorites.
- 2
Let It Go
From their second studio album, High N Dry, comes this single, which ended up at No. 34 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.
- 3
Comin' Under Fire
This single peaked on the charts at No. 24 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. It was taken from their third studio release, Pyromania.
- 4
Billy's Got a Gun
This one also comes from Pyromania and made it to No. 33 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
- 5
Armageddon It
Def Leppard's Hysteria album had a lot of great singles, but this one stands out above the rest for me. It reached No. 3 on both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart.
