Minnesota District 24B State Representative Brian Daniels of Faribault is scheduled to be a guest on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30 a.m.  Representative Daniels is in his third term at the state capitol in St. Paul.  We will find out what's happening in the House after visiting with Faribault State Senator John Jasinski last Monday.

Representative Daniels is a member of the Education Finance Division Committee, Greater Minnesota Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division Committee and Higher Education Finance and Policy Division Committee in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

The Faribault state lawmaker has authored 8 bills so far this session according to the Minnesota House of Representatives website.  I hope to be able to get some thoughts about each of them.

Bills where Chief Author is listed as "Daniels"  include:

  • Deaf and hard-of-hearing teaching license requirements modified, license review directed and report required.
  • Music Therapist license created, and fees and civil penalties imposed.
  • South Central College asset preservation funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.
  • Dyslexia Specialist duties modified.
  • Charter school admission lotteries modified.
  • Millitary ready reserve special license plates established.
  • Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf and Minnesota State Academy for the Blind highway sign placement required on Interstate Highway 35.

If you can't listen at 9:30 a.m. the audio from the show will be uploaded to this page by mid-afternoon.
