The Minnesota governor's residence will be open for public tours in December. Hours will be 11AM to 1PM on Tuesday, December 6 and December 20. There will also be an evening tour on Tuesday, December 13, from 5-7PM. No reservations required; the tours will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The tours are open-house style and last about 20-30 minutes. There will be a live performance from local musicians at each of the tours. The December 6 tour will feature the Robbinsdale Armstrong Chamber Singers. December 13, pianist Paulette Day will perform and the South St. Paul Secondary Acapella Singers will perform on December 20. On Thursday, December 1, there will be the festive lighting of the outdoor garland and tree to signify the beginning of the holiday season at the governor's residence.

The address is 1006 Summit Ave. in St. Paul.

I wonder where the governor goes when the tours take place. Does he lock himself in a bathroom until everyone is gone? Maybe he heads to the basement and plays cards with a groundskeeper? Christmas shopping maybe?
