St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)  - State officials say the number of jobs in Minnesota hit an all-time high last month.

The latest jobs report from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development shows the state enjoyed a net gain of about 6600 jobs in June which boosted the states seasonally adjusted job total to a record high 2,962,300. That figure was helped by a revision of the May jobs report that added about 500 positions to the number of jobs gained that month. The net gain for the previous 12 months is just over 45,500 for an annualized job growth rate of 1.5-percent. The national average was 1.7-percent.

Minnesota’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was steady last month at 3.1-percent, which is a level that hasn’t been seen since August 2000. The statewide jobless rate a year ago was 3.4-percent and the national rate last month was 4-percent.
