Baseball in winter comes to Owatonna again with the Minnesota Twins caravan tour on Thursday, January 26, at Plaza Morena Campestre Grill at 12:15PM and is open to all.

The Twins recently started this year's annual caravan around the upper Midwest. It is one of the longest-running such programs in all of professional sports. Players and broadcasters, and frequently mascot TC, stop at schools and businesses to interact with the fans, answer questions and occasionally sign autographs.

The Owatonna stop is Thursday, January 26, from 12:15-1:15PM at Plaza Morena Campestre Grill in Owatonna, 160 N.W. 26th St. In the past, fans have packed Plaza Morena Campestre Grill decked out in their Twins gear, eager for spring weather and filled with hope for the upcoming season. There is no admission charge. You are welcome to order off the menu and enjoy lunch during the program.

Bring some questions too. The caravan members will field questions about last season, though they might prefer to focus on the coming season after a struggle in 2016. Scheduled guests for the Owatonna visit include pitcher Trevor May, who appeared in 44 games in 2016, all in relief. Reliever Taylor Rogers made his major league debut in 2016 and pitched in 57 games. Broadcaster and in-studio host Kris Atteberry and, of course, TC are also set to appear in Owatonna.
