Minnesotans Like Their Drinks
24/7 Wall Street issued their list of the 20 Drunkest Cities in the U.S., and a Minnesota city landed in the middle. Mankato came in at No. 10. The group analyzed self-reported data from County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, a joint program with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. Excessive drinking, concentration of bars and alcohol-related driving deaths all were contributing factors in determining America’s drunkest cities
Twelve of the top 20 cities are in Wisconsin -- Appleton, Oshkosh, Green Bay, Madison, LaCrosse, Fond du Lac, Eau Claire, Wausau, Sheboygan, Racine, Janesville and Milwaukee. Also on the list were Fargo and Grand Forks, N.D.; Ames and Iowa City, Iowa; Missoula, Mont.; Lincoln, Neb.; and Corvallis, Ore.
So I decided to see if anyone has compiled a list of drunkest cities in Minnesota. Road Snacks did a list. It's interesting that Mankato did not make their list of the top 10.

By the way, the top two driest cities on 24/7 Wall Street's list are in Utah. Not surprising given Utah has a large Mormon population. Provo-Orem and St. George Utah are the driest.
