Morristown Dam Days is this Weekend

Hey what are you doing this weekend? What? You're wondering what's going on, well sit down and let me tell you about a big event that goes down in the best little town by a dam site called the Morristown Dam Days Celebration. In its 31st year, this festival is filled with so many great events, I'm not even sure how they manage to fit all the fun into just one weekend.

The whole thing actually kicks off tonight at 7PM with the Miss Morristown Queen Pageant and Little Miss Pageant at the Morristown Community Center. They crank up the rest of the excitement starting on Friday at 5PM when the carnival rides get underway and the food stands and beer garden opens. Of course everyone looks forward to the Twilight Parade, which gets rolling at 7PM and the crew of Power 96 and KDHL will be there, in our new station vehicle, tossing out candy to the kids. My advice is to bring plenty of grocery bags because they usually make quite a haul and they're going to need someplace to put all those treats. You might want to double up the bags for extra strength. Both Friday and Saturday night the party continues with a dance in the beer garden under the big top.

Without giving everything away, the weekend is chock full of fun festivities for the young and old alike, including a kids fishing contest, a car show, an art show, a kiddie parade, a BBQ cookoff contest and more.
