The dense fog that blanketed much of southeastern Minnesota this morning slowed the commute to work and school but also created some beautiful examples of nature's artwork. The trees and many other objects became coated with so-called hoar's frost as the moisture in the fog froze to the cold surfaces.

The fine example in the photo was found about 180 feet above ground on the structure of the Townsquare Media antenna tower in downtown Rochester.
