12/15/14: This week's featured song is "Workin' Woman Blues" by Valerie June. Originally from Tennessee, Valerie is a singer, songwriter, and multi- instrumentalist. She has self released three albums, and recently released her first album as a signed artist. In 2014, Valerie was nominated for a Blues Music Award in the "Best New Artist Debut" category.
