Looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday morning? Grab your bike and plan to join the Old Town Bike Tour on Saturday, October 8!

The Old Town Bike Tour can be walked and is a free event. Meet at the Buckham Center and the bike tour goes from 10-11:30AM. During the bike tour, there will be stops where parts of Faribault's history will be revealed. Participants will learn about the Faribault Stone Mill, city utilities, the limestone wagon shop, the Shaft-Pierce Show Company, the site of the German P.O.W. barracks and much more.

It will be an interesting and informative morning learning more about Faribault's rich history, while enjoying a lovely fall bike ride. All are welcome to partake in this event.

October 8 is shaping up to be a really fun day in Faribault! Kids activities, unicycle shows, and spooky basement tours along with a chili contest take over Central Avenue in the afternoon during the Faribault Main Street Fall Festival. That evening, history comes alive as the Rice County Historical Society hosts the annual Night at the Museum event. Additionally, the local brewery is holding an Oktoberfest celebration, and the Paradise Center for the Arts holds Tribute Fest:Bruce Springsteen that night.
