Pack Bell Field Friday Night for Faribault Lakers Game

The New Market Muskies traveled to Shakopee on Wednesday night and Faribault native Nate Rost pitched a three-hit shutout as they cruised to a 6-0 win.

Shakopee is now the three seed out of Region 3C and New Market travels to Bell Field in Faribault on Friday night to determine the top seed.

Faribault beat New Market in Muskies country last Sunday 2-1 and if they win Friday the Lakers will be the top seed out of the region and will get a bye the opening weekend of the tournament. They also get to draft a player first for state competition.

If New Market wins they would tangle again Sunday in New Market. Matt Lane was dominant in the win last Sunday and certainly could go again Friday if that's what the team decides.
