It was a way for his fans to show their love and appreciation toward him and his music, and now, it's back to where it belongs.

It's hard to believe, but the first anniversary of the late-great purple one's death draws near (April 21), and fans from everywhere can pay tribute to Prince by leaving mementos at Paisley Park today, and next Monday, April 10 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

According to WCCO, visitors who would like place their items on the fence to pay their respects will not be charged an entry fee. There's also an on-site staffer available to take pictures of you placing said items on the fence, which will come at no extra charge.

The fence will remain up until April 20, and the items left behind will be preserved by museum staff.

There will also be live concerts, panel discussions and tours of Prince’s studio complex from April 20-23 at Paisley Park.
