The Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault is celebrating it's 10th anniversary on Saturday, October 28 with an evening filled with activities.

Some representatives will be in the KDHL Studio today at 9:30 a.m. to reveal details about the upcoming shindig in historic downtown Faribault.

This "Evening in Paradise"  aims to capture all the best the Paradise Center has to offer including live music, visual and theatre arts.

The evening includes costume contests, Mn & More Spirits tasting featuring local and regional craft distilleries, artist demonstrations, community theatre highlights, free appetizers and a cash bar.

Master of Ceremonies Michael Lambert has a long Paradise history, including writing the Merlin Players show, "Wrapped in Love and Glory" which opened last December.

In celebration of the theater arts (and Halloween weekend), attendees are invited to come in a costume from one of the many Paradise Community Theatre or Merlin Players shows that have been performed over the years.

Prizes will be awarded to costumes from theatre shows.

The Paradise Center for the Arts in housed in a building on the original foundation of the 1885 Faribault Opera House, which was destroyed by fire in 1929.

If you can't tune in 9:30 a.m. go to www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio and watch the program at a more convenient time for you.
