Park & Rec Summer Art Classes
Park & Rec youth art classes are hands-on activities designed to strengthen creativity and stimulate imagination. Classes are held at Washington Ctr. and at Central Park. Class Min. 5/Max. 15. No supply
fees required, unless noted. Scholarships available for all classes.

Doodle & Draw (Ages 6-12)
Drawing is a fundamental skill that can be beneficial
in its own right or used as a foundation when venturing
to other art media. In this class, kids learn the basics of
drawing and sketching natural features and still lifes.
Tues. June 10, 1-3:30pm. Fee: $20. Instructor:
Oil & Chalk Pastels (8-16)
Learn to use oil pastels for creating beautiful landscapes
and scenes from every-day life. The basics of color,
building layers of color, blending. Bring your own oil
pastels or buy a set at class for $10. Instructor Barb

Art in the Park (Age 8-16) FREE!
Kids meet atCentral Parkduring
Heritage Days for a fun art-filled afternoon
at the park. Registration required, call 334-2064.

Woodburning (Ages 9-16)
A style of drawing using a woodburning tool.
Tues. June 25, 1-3:30pm. Fee: $20. Bring your own
woodburner, or buy one at class for $10.

Watercoloring with Pencils (Ages 8-14)
Drawing and painting class are combined in one here!

Garden Art Sculpture!
(Ages 9-15) Adorn the garden with lasting sculptures
made from found materials. Instructor: Jeff Jarvis
