Each week I’ll share a picture and a little bit about a pet that is available for adoption and waiting to find a good home. If you’re thinking of adding a pet to your home, pet adoption can be a very rewarding way to do so. Check out this week’s Pet of the Week and then check back next week to see a new furry friend looking for a fur-ever home.

Meet Apollo! Apollo is a 2-year-old red bone coonhound male. He is good with other dogs, cats and kids, but does want a home with a fence. He loves playing with toys, is learning fetch, and loves walks.

Apollo is neutered and is current on his vaccinations as well as being crate trained and house trained. If you’re interested in learning more about Apollo, or about another pet available for adoption, visit safesanctuary.org for application forms and more information.

S.A.F.E Sanctuary is a local foster-based rescue and adoption program that aims to pair animals with good homes. They spay or neuter pets and work to train and socialize them during the fostering period.
