As the impact of David Bowie's unexpected death continues to resonate throughout the rock world, I continue to feature his music on this week's Power 96 Cool One. Yesterday I served up "Let's Dance," the title track from his 15th studio album released in December 1982.The single was a No. 1 hit for Bowie all over the world, including here in the U.S., and the album also topped out at No. 1 in many countries around the world except here, where it peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

This tune was a very popular video on MTV in their formative years. As a matter of fact, the first time I ever heard this song was at Grampa Al's in downtown Faribault. They used to show MTV on a big screen before they ever had a stage for bands and people would sit and watch the videos or dance along with them. I think, at that time, MTV wasn't available through the cable provider in Faribault so this was the only place a poor young lad such as myself could experience it.

Join me at 4:35PM this afternoon to find out what Bowie song I feature on today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
