I started off the week with 10cc, the band, not a measurement of some pharmaceutical product. The Power 96 Cool One was a single from them you probably haven't heard in a long time called "Art for Art's Sake" from their fourth studio release, How Dare You! This was their last album to feature the original line-up because Kevin Godley and Lol Creme parted ways with the band and later formed Godley and Creme. Released in January 1976, How Dare You!, reached No. 47 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 5 on the UK Album Chart. The Cool One peaked at No. 83 on the U.S. Billboard 100 and No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart. According to Wikipedia, the song title comes from a saying that band member Graham Gouldman's father, Hymie, would often say, "Art for art's sake, money for God's sake, okay."

Join me before today's Faribault Falcons baseball game for the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault, at 4:35PM.
