I used a vacation day yesterday to get some business done in the Twin Cities and to have an enjoyable lunch with my oldest daughter, so I didn't get a chance to recap my Power 96 Cool One for Monday. Now it's Wednesday and I also have Tuesday's Cool One to account for. So here we go.

On Monday I featured an early single from Sammy Hagar's third solo album, Musical Chairs, which he released in October 1977. The single was a stiff on the charts but the album made a showing at No. 100 on the U.S. chart.

Tuesday's Cool One was The Cars' "Double Life" off their second studio album, Candy-O. This Cool One also failed to chart, but the album, which hit the stores on June 3, 1979, did better than their debut effort, coming in at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Two other singles you probably remember made it onto charts, "It's All I Can Do" at No. 41 and "Let's Go" at No. 14, both on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Don't miss this afternoon's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault, at 4:35PM on Power 96.
