I've had the past couple of days off taking care of some personal business, so I haven't had time to summarize the last three Power 96 Cool Ones for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Monday's Cool One came from Ratt's August 21, 1990, and fifth studio release Detonator. The single I chose was "Shame, Shame, Shame," which, unfortunately for Ratt, didn't chart. The album peaked at No. 23 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 55 on the UK Albums Chart.

On Tuesday it was Shark Island's "Paris Calling" from 1989's Law of the Order. Even though they had a great sound and some accomplished musicians, their album failed to garner any mass attention and the band ultimately dropped out of the music scene, resurfacing in 2005 to record the album Gathering of the Faithful.

Wednesday it was Raging Slab's "Bent for Silver" from their self-titled major label debut on RCA Records. This album is probably their best work, in my opinion, and well worth adding to your music collection.

Please join me this afternoon at 4:35PM for another edition of the Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault.
