It's been a fun week featuring artists that will be performing at Saturday's Blue Collar BBQ and Arts Festival in downtown Faribault. This annual event is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Paradise Center for the Arts and is billed as Faribault's biggest block party and I would have to say they're right. With seven bands taking the stage throughout the day, performing for 12 hours between 11AM and 11PM and a host of family fun activities including a BBQ competition, an art fair and market where you can purchase original and unique works of art, a kids area filled with inflatables to jump and play on, plenty of food vendors, a washers tournament and the entire festival grounds, which is comprised of the 200 and 300 block of Central Avenue along with a section of 3rd Street, is a beer garden. By the way, if you should need a ride home, they're offering free rides home between 8-10PM. More info at: http://www.paradisecenterforthearts.org/special-guest/blue-collar-bbq-arts-festival/

Yesterday I featured another track from returning artist, Moses Oakland, called Congo Square. His website http://moseso.com describes it as "A RIPPIN' New Orleans groove".

Today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by the crew at Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault, comes from the Pour Me Band. They'll be cranking up the party and bringing it all home as the final band to step onto the stage around 8PM and rockin' the joint until 11PM. Check them out on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/pourmeband. So bring your kids and your friends to downtown Faribault for a fun-filled day and evening of great food and music. And don't forget your dancing shoes!
