Wow, the Fourth of July weekend went so fast, yet last Friday's Cool One seems so long ago. Luckily I still remember the last two Cools Ones, so here's a quick recap.

Friday's featured artist was a band you don't normally hear on Power 96 but Blondie's "One Way or Another" was rolling around in my head all week, so I decide to play it for you. Pulled from their third studio album, Parallel Lines, this single released after their No. 1 hit "Heart of Glass" made it to No. 24 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The album, which was their breakthrough into commercial success, charted at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 1 in the UK.

Tuesday's Cool One came from another female rocker. I spotlighted Pat Benatar's "All Fired Up," which came from her seventh studio album, Wide Awake in Dreamland. Released in 1988, the album was one of her last efforts to make it into the Top 40, peaking at No. 28 on the U.S. Billboard 200. The single fared better on the charts, scoring her a No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and a No. 2 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

You don't want to miss the next Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts, at 4:35PM on Power 96.
