America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band or the Bad Boys Out of Boston are two phrases that have been used to describe Aerosmith, yesterday's Power 96 Cool One brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts in Faribault. The first album I owned by Aerosmith was Rocks, although I should say I owned it on eight-track tape, and this is by far my favorite effort by them. You probably hear "Back in the Saddle" or "Last Child" on Power 96 every so often, but I thought I'd track their power ballad and last track on the album, "Home Tonight." This single was released in 1976 and made it to No. 71 on the Billboard Hot 100 and features a lap steel guitar played by Joe Perry in place of his normal lead guitar work.

Tune in today when we travel to the Great White North for another Canadian artist who now works as a radio show host in Toronto. Listen at 4:35 p.m. for the next Power 96 Cool One.
