The Power 96 Cool One that I dropped on you yesterday came from Bob Seger. I tracked "Get Out of Denver" from his seventh studio album, with the appropriate title, Seven. The single failed to break into the Top 40, peaking at No. 80 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Released in March 1974, the album was the first recording to feature the Silver Bullet Band but failed to chart. This is supposedly a rare album, if you can find a mint copy on vinyl, I suggest you buy it as it's going anywhere from $75 to nearly $180 on Amazon.com.

Today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault, comes your way at 4:35PM. I spotlight a band that's thought of more as a one-hit wonder and if I didn't tell you who they were, during the intro to today's Cool One, you would probably never be able to guess who they are.
