Continuing our weeklong tribute to David Bowie after his passing on Sunday, January 10, I decided to revisit his 1983 release Let's Dance and glean one more tune from that album. "China Girl" was initially an Iggy Pop song appearing on his 1977 album The Idiot and was co-written by Pop and Bowie. Bowie's version peaked at No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the UK chart. As stated in an earlier post, the album this single came from Let's Dance, reached No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and topped out at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.

I wrap up my weeklong tribute to Bowie this afternoon at 4:35PM. It's been fun playing some of my favorite tracks by him and I've just barely scratched the surface of his vast catalog of music that he built and released over the years, which includes 27 studio albums and 120 singles.
