Thursday's Power 96 Cool One was the title track of their third full-length studio effort titled "Elephant Riders" from a band called Clutch. This is a band that was formed in 1991 in Germantown, Maryland, but based out of Frederick, Maryland. They have 11 studio albums, five live albums and several compilation, extended plays, single and video albums under their belts. This is pretty good for a band that has never really been able to make it big with the mainstream listeners.

Yesterday's Cool One, unfortunately for this funk metal band, didn't chart, but the album, released on April 14, 1998, did make its mark, coming in at No. 104 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top Heatseekers chart.

Join me this afternoon for another Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts on Seventh Street in Faribault or online at kellysautosalvage.com. I'll be digging up another tasty track from a rocking artist that hopefully you haven't heard in a long time but will still enjoy.
