Power 96 Cool One Recap: Dio

We rocked on yesterday's Power 96 Cool One with Dio's "We Rock" from the Last in Line album. Dio is another band that Jimmy Bain played bass with and co-wrote songs for. As I've mentioned throughout the week, Bain died Sunday while on the Def Leppard "Hysteria on the High Seas" cruise. So far I haven't been able to find out the cause of death.

As a continued tribute to Bain's storied career with different bands through the years, I chose to play the aforementioned track from Dio, which didn't get on the charts here in the U.S. but did land at No. 42 on the UK Singles Chart. The album itself was his second studio effort and released on July 2, 1984, and climbed to No. 24 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 4 in the UK.
