If you like the sound of '80s heavy metal bands mixed with old-school AC/DC, then you need to take another look at yesterday's Power 96 Cool One, from the band Dirty Looks. Formed in 1984 in San Francisco, this band echoed the sound of Bon Scott-era AC/DC, due to the vocals of Danish-born Henrik Ostergaard. Through various line-up changes and side projects, Ostergaard remained the lead singer of the band until his death from liver failure on Jan. 27, 2011.

Over the years Dirty Looks released several albums, but their two strongest were 1988's major-label debut, Cool From the Wire, and 1989's Turn of the Screw, which features yesterday's Cool One, "Nobody Rides for Free."

Although this band was never able to make it to the big leagues like Warrant or Skid Row, they're still a nice slice of the '80s metal scene that you'll enjoy.

Don't miss today's Power 96 Cool One, brought to you by Kelly's Auto Parts, at 4:40 p.m. featuring a Canadian power trio. And no, it's not Rush.
